About Me

Hi!

I’m Oli, a filmmaker and photographer based in St. Ives Cornwall. My work focuses on our relationship with nature; exploring intimate, simple stories, highlighting the wonder in everyday life and the intricacies of the natural world.

Having lived in Cornwall for over 6 years the sea has been ingrained in my everyday life, you're more likely to find me out surfing than on land. This love for surfing has led me down the path of filmmaking, having won the 2021 Rescript the Future competition with my story on how surfing helped me out of a struggle with dyslexia, and gave me an empowering connection with the sea. Winning Rescript the Future gave me the opportunity to turn my story into a film, directing and writing the 10 minute short ‘Tide to Nature’.

My passion for filmmaking is now consuming, and currently I am focusing on documenting the stories of everyday life, through interview focused narratives. I’m always on the search for stories that could translate into films and I’m currently interested to work with artists on creating films about their creative process.
